What inspired you to become a blogger?
I was studying for my masters and had quite a lot of free time on my hands, I didn’t know what to do. Sometime that summer my husband, (then boyfriend) asked if I’ve considered blogging and showed me a few American & British blogs…I started immediately because it all clicked! I’ve been writing in a notebook with no outlet.
What does blogging mean to you?
Blogging is sharing: lifestyle, tips, tricks, humour, recipes and anything that makes life worthwhile.
What are the challenges you face as a blogger, and how have you been able to overcome them?
I’m a vlogger as well, so I produce video content on YouTube and that can be challenging if you don’t have the right tools. So I saved up and bought my first proper camera…as time goes by you invest in blogging which is what I have been doing.
What do you think about the emerging blogging industry in Nigeria?
I love that more Nigerians are becoming aware of blogging but the sad part is the lack of originality and total disregard/lack of awareness of intellectual property rights. So many bloggers copy too much from others, if you learn to be original; you will reap the rewards of originality.
Who are your favorite bloggers in Nigeria?
Me, Me, Me! I have a lot of favorite blogs and it would totally be unfair not to be able to mention them all.
How would you describe your kind of blogging?
My type of blogging is
lifestyle blogging, sharing what I know and entertaining my readers in the process.
Are you fulfilled as a blogger?
I am very fulfilled
, I love blogging,
but there’s always more to be done, there’s need to evolve.
Any advice to upcoming bloggers?
