14 Artistes To Watch Out For In 2014

This list is from
Artists like P square, D banj, Banky W, Iyanya, Olamide, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage ended their year with great songs, but despite their unwavering success, there’s always room for new artists to emerge. OloriSupergal team ( Shola and Ayomide) sat down and created a list of 14 artists who have been increasingly on our radar over the past year; Those who we think will be 2014′s fresh faces in music.

Find out the 14 artists you should be checking for in 2014 below;

Temi Dollface is known to her fans home and abroad as TDF. She came into the Nigerian music scene last year and she also gave her fans a video ‘Pata pata’. The song  has over 122, 000 views on Youtube.
Pata Pata is a melange of retro-referencing style, sass, humour, and inventiveness, delivered in TemiDollFace’s  matchless style.

We expect something new and different from TDF this year. watch out for her.

Yemi Alade has been in the music scene for a while now. She has great vocals, she is a good performer on stage and also she gave her fans good singles and videos in 2013. Her singles from GHEN GHEN, BAMBOO, MY HEAD OO, FAAJI, BIRTHDAY SONG AND JOHNNY.
We will be expecting more from her this year.

Falz ‘the bad guy’ – Folarin Falana came to the music scene last year with a club banger ‘High Class’. Expect something new and fresh from Falz.

Raoul John Njeng-Njeng known by his fans as Skales. He is popularly known as the EME soldier.He released 2 singles titled ‘Mukulu’ and ‘Keresimesi’ and he has featured on several songs. In 2013 he released few songs – TAKE CARE OF ME, ENTER THE ACTION, DENGE POSE

Skales got signed to Empire Mates Entertainment, the music label credited for one of Nigeria’s most sought after artistes. We expect his album ‘“All Of the Above’ to drop later this year.

Sean Tizzle had a good year in 2013 after winning Next Rated category at The Headies he got new enemies.  Born Seun Morihanfen, Sean Tizzle is a talented singer and entertainer signed to Difference Entertainment. He gave his fans hit banger songs like ‘MAMA EH’, KOMOLE, KILOGBE  and SHO LEE. We expect more from him this year.


Funmilola Rachel Garton, popularly known as Lola Rae, is a product of a mixed union-British father and Ghanaian mother-is set to storm the entertainment industry with her Afro Pop music.

Christopher Omenye aka Yung L, the last of five children, was born and raised in Jos, Plateau State. Grip Music comprises of individual artists Yung L, Endia, J.Milla and Chopstix, who collectively are known as the Grip Boiz.
In 2011, the guys decided to leave Jos, in search of greener pastures for their careers, this search led them to Lagos State, Nigeria. There they have settled and quickly become a prominent feature at a lot of events on the entertainment industry’s social calendar.
He was nominated at The Headies Rookie of the Year for his single “Red Rose” – 2012. In 2013, he released a single

Pryse is a UK based Nigerian female rapper who is all set to storm the Nigeria music industry. Now signed to Chocolate city labelm she dropped few singles last year. We expect more form her this year.

‘Irawo’ crooner Oluwaseyi Deborah Joshua known as Seyi Shay in the music terrain left a promising Sony Music deal in order to conquer new territories in the world starting from Nigeria. Born and raised by Nigerian parents in London UK , Seyi  began performing at the age of six. Known for her amazingly vocal strength and stage craft, she   has shared the stage with some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars   as well as international acts like Rick Ross , Chris Brown.  e.t.c. She was under Flytime promotions and now she is under a new management. She also got a deal with Etisalat in 2013.

Ajebutter 22 has maintained a certain level of uniqueness with his sound, and that’s what has taken him this far.
From ‘Serenre’ to ‘Omo Pastor’ to ‘Celebrate in advance’.


Their song in 2013 ‘feel alright’ might not be their last. We can’t wait for their new singles this year.

Born Nelson Agose in Nigeria, the artist known as Blink moved to the US in 2006 to pursue his education at the University of Illinois and in 2009 released his first mixtape titled The Work Ethic. He recently released Jet to Lagos, a laid back R&B tune perfect for warm weather chill. He is signed to Syndik8 records.


His singles ‘Gba be’ – ‘Change my story’ received airplays on Radio and TV stations last year.
Expect more from the Cotonou born singer.
