Diary Of A Quirky Isale-Eko Babe!!!

I am Qismat Aderayo Yinus a.k.a Beautiful Blogga. I am a Bonafide Isale-Eko babe trying to make money, become successful, inspire others, in the process entertain y'all, and most of all make heaven. It's my birth month, and as always I'm elated. November is my favorite month of the year, not just because it's my birth month, but also my anniversary month with "Olowo Ori Mi" (That's what I call my boyfriend) Did I hear you say but he's just your boyfriend, you are not married yet? Well, like we Yorubas say "Apemoranitemidire" I'm only just claiming goodness. Yes! Dude's so good, all I can say is for GOD to keep blessing our love. It was Olowo Ori Mi's birthday/our anniversary yesterday. It was a fun-filled day,but that's not why we are here. Lol! That's story for another day. Anyways, before I get to the main gist, tomorrow November 6 is my birthday, and gifts such as a Range Rover,an apartment on Banana Island, trip to Paris,Rolex watches, e.t.c are welcome. Pls don't send me cards, chocolates or cakes. I'm not a toddler! Thanks in anticipation.

So as I was saying o jare, since it's my birth month and I love to celebrate myself and everyone/everything I love,I decided to bring you something very close to my heart,my love for "English Literature". Do you guys read a lot? Are there people who love to read as much as I do? I used to be such a bookworm before I became a TV addict, and went on to become a lazy reader. O ma se o! I miss those days,my secondary school days especially. I loved to read like kilode! Guess who I've got to thank for my reading/writing skills? GOD! Because he blessed me with the best Mom in the world. Yes o! Iya Qissy made me love Literature-In English so much. She loved to read as a child,so I naturally took after her (One of the many things I got from her apart from the beautifully structured rear I got from her. #wink) Lol! As I was gisting you o jare, she used to speak fondly about English Literature which was her favorite subject in school,so I ended up replacing my favorite subject English Language, with English Literature. Don't say they are the same or almost the same! Nibo? Egbe Isu ko ni iyan fa! If you didn't study Literature In English in secondary school, you miss no be small. I ended up as the best student in Literature in English/most intelligent student in my class.Any Holy Child College student in the building? Na my Alma Mater be that. Oh I enjoyed my secondary school days!

Anyways, make I no dull una with long story,I happen to love some of the books I read back then, and I miss them so much, that I thought I should share them with you. I hate to be selfish. Y'all need to read these books,if you haven't, and If you have pls pass them to the younger ones. Let's encourage the habit of reading in our younger ones abeg. People no longer read! Ki lo de? Na wah o! And we keep complaining about mass failure in WAEC,and the quality of graduates our Universities/Polytechnics keep churning out every year. Read a book today and make the world a better place! Before I give you a list of my favorite books of all time, I'd like to thank GOD once more for abundantly blessing me ( Don't worry guys ,this is strictly between GOD and I,y'all won't understand) I also want to thank My Mom ,and my Literature in English teacher in H.C.C, Mrs Ezeanya. GOD bless you two. I love you pupo pupo! So here are my favorite books of all time:

Ayi Kwei Armah's The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born
The New Man By Femi Ademiluyi
George Orwell's Animal Farm
The Merchant Of Venice By William Shakespeare
Macbeth By William Shakespeare
Hamlet By William Shakespeare
Ola Rotimi's The gods Are Not To Blame
Wole Soyinka's The Lion And The Jewel
Wole Soyinka's The Trials Of Brother Jero
Tess Of The D'urbervilles By Thomas Hardy

So many books that I love, but those are my 'faves' of all my 'faves' Lol! I love these books and I wish I could do an analysis of these books. Would you like an analysis? If I had to analyse, I'd gladly analyse Thomas Hardy's Tess Of The D'urbervilles first, and then maybe my favorite William Shakespeare tragedies, Hamlet, and Macbeth. I also love poetry a lot! I'll gist you about my favorite poems soon, GOD willing. Y'all please tell me about your favorite books too. I'd love to read your comments.
